Sally Stocks participated in several masterclasses with James Galway and was a pupil of Elena Duran before entering the Royal College of Music at the age of 17, studying with Christopher Hyde-Smith and Graham Mayger. Her varied career has taken her to Australia, where she was Professor of Flute at the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music, and Gran Canaria, as Principal Flute in La Orquesta Filarmonica, returning to England in 1992. She has broadcast for ABC and Classic FM.
